Where I find travel deals

Grand Canyon-Arizona, US
Machu Picchu, Peru

Whether I travel across the world or within the United States people always ask me if I used a travel agent to book my trips. The answer is no. I book everything myself and sometimes I just go along with the flow but always look around at different sites to compare prices.

Here is a list of sites and apps I use to look for deals:

-Bookit.com
In this site I have found great flight & hotel deals to travel within the US and great all inclusive deals to travel to places outside of the US. If you sign up for their newsletters you will get emails every so often when they have sales. I always book when they have a last minute sale or holiday specials.
-Booking.comHotels.comAirbnb (This link will give you 35$ off your 1st adventure)
The companies above are places I go to if I want to book a hotel. I compare prices and read reviews. You will always find the best price on Airbnb but they are not a hotel. You could be staying at someone's house, apartment or etc and they are basically renting it to you. Places like Miami are against sites like airbnb, because hotels lose business to them. However, I LOVE them.
-Couchsurfing.com
I recently discovered this app/site through a friend of mine. It is highly recommended for solo
travelers. You are basically staying in someone's couch for free. I have not tried this site myself yet, but I will try it on my next solo trip. If you are on a tight budget and open to meeting new people, this is your type of site.
-Kayak.comSkyscanner.com
These two apps/sites are my to go to places to book a flight. They both have a flight alert option where you can monitor the price of a flight. After I find a flight with the price I like, I go to the actual airline website and see if it's cheaper there or not. Sometimes the actual airline website is 10-50$ cheaper. There have been a few times I have booked flights to other countries with 20 hour layovers because they were cheap. During my layovers I leave the airport and find an adventure to get into while I wait for my next flight.
-Groupon.com
This site has getaway deals all the time. Sometimes if you wait a few days before the deal closes you get an extra discount of the top. The catch to this site is that you always have to book for two people or more and if you want to book alone you have to pay extra money.
-Uber.com(get 20$ off your first ride)
No matter where in the world I go Uber is always there to help me out with transportation. The only catch is that you HAVE to have wifi. Who takes a cab nowadays? Uber is so much cheaper than a cab and with a push of a button you have transportation waiting for you outside your door.

Last but not least, I NEVER EVER book anything during high season. I usually travel when it's low/mid season. In order to find out when high season is I just use google to do some research. Also, always ALWAYS read reviews and if you are up for it leave reviews to help others out. If you need help booking anything or have any questions feel free to leave me a comment :).
